Watch and learn, Moore tells Chinese youngsters

Xinhua, January 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

American women's basketball superstar Maya Moore told young hoopsters to watch older players' games and learn from the best after watching a Chinese Women's Basketball Association (WCBA) Rising Stars game here on Saturday.

In the game featuring future stars in WCBA, South Team edged North 74-72 in Nanjing's Jinling Middle School.

"At their age about 15, they performed pretty well," Moore told Xinhua.

Asked on her advice to young players, Moore said, "just watch older players' games, and learn from them. Improve their fundamentals, and have fun."

Jinling Middle School is famous for its basketball strength, with its girls' team winning the 2007 Asian title plus national championship several times. Endi
