China FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co. Ltd. is to recall 35,186 Audi cars in China to fix a problem in the fuel injection system.

The recall, from March 20, involves 32,371 units of A5, A5 Cabriolet, A7, Q7 A8L models manufactured between April, 2011 and February, 2012, and 2,815 A4L and A6L models made between July, 2011 and June, 2012, according to a statement from China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

AQSIQ said the poorly sealed fuel injection system may cause fire in extreme cases.
