Sampdoria close to finishing deal for Eto'o

Xinhua, January 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Italian Serie A club Sampdoria is going to close the deal for former Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o, the club's sporting director Carlo Osti said on Tuesday.

Sampdoria has been in talks with Eto'o and his representatives in recent weeks and the deal "is almost finalized", according to Osti.

The 33-year-old joined Premier League outfit Everton from Chelsea in the summer.

Eto'o spent two seasons at Inter Milan since 2009, playing an important part of Jose Mourinho's treble-winning team, which lifted the Serie A, Italian Cup and Champions League trophies in 2010. Endi
