5 Russians suspected of planning attack arrested in South France: media

Five people suspected of planning an attack were arrested Monday night in Beziers, South France, confirmed Tuesday Yvon Calvet, Prosecutor of the city, cited by the newspaper Le Figaro.

The five suspects, of Chechen origin, were placed in custody, said the newspaper.

According to Midi Libre, a local newspaper, "a cache of explosives was discovered not far from the stadium Sauclieres."

One of arrested lives in Beziers and another "probably" in Montpellier, said Prosecutor Calvet, cited by Le Figaro, adding that investigators are trying to find the addresses of three other individuals placed in custody. Endit
