-- The anti-Islamic alliance Pegida cancelled its rally scheduled for Monday in Dresden due to fear of a possible terrorist attack. The police in Dresden banned all public gatherings in the Saxon state capital.

-- Israel has requested Germany, Canada and Australia not to financially support the International Criminal Court in the Hague any longer.

The tribunal announced to start a preliminary investigation on "situation in Palestine" where the Palestinians said Israel had committed war crimes. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman reacted as saying that the court was a "political institution" and should be abolished. Endit
