Algeria on Saturday reiterated its commitment to solving the crisis in northern Mali by reaching an ultimate peace agreement in the forthcoming talks.
"We are working with all warrant parties and with our friends within the mediation team in a bid to reach a final peace agreement on the next dialogue round," Algerian foreign minister Ramtane Lamamra told reporters in Algiers.
He said the people in northern Mali are suffering from terrorism and instability, and the situation could help create more chaos, instability and violence in the days ahead.
The minister said the solution to the crisis lies in "overcoming these negative aspects, and go ahead towards a comprehensive political agreement between all disputing parties in favor of reconciliation, peace and stability in northern Mali."
Algiers has been working to mediate a process of peace talks since July. So far, a roadmap for negotiations and a "Declaration of cessation of hostilities" were signed.
Four round of peace talks have been held in Algiers since last September, while a fresh round is scheduled this year. Endit
