Senior official champions Party values at community level

Xinhua, January 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Liu Qibao, head of the publicity department of the Communist Party of China's (CPC) Central Committee, has asked authorities to strengthen "ideological publicity" at the grassroots level.

Liu made the remarks during a two-day inspection tour in the southwest province of Guizhou from Wednesday to Friday.

He stressed for better implementation of China's core socialist values -- which center on national prosperity, patriotism and rule of law -- at the community level, so as to promote the continuation of traditional Chinese values.

He asked authorities to train more publicity staff from communities and improve public services in underdeveloped areas.

He also asked local authorities to implement President Xi Jinping's latest anti-corruption instruction, which he made this week at a important discipline review meeting. Endi
