At least seven people were killed in a U.S. drone strike launched in Pakistan's northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan on Thursday morning, local Urdu TV channel Geo reported.

According to the local media reports, the U.S. unmanned aircraft fired two missiles at a house suspected of being a militant hideout in the Shawal area of North Waziristan, a restive area bordering Afghanistan.

The identities of those killed are not immediately available.

Thursday's U.S. drone strike in Pakistan was the second of its kind in the country in 2015. To date, at least 17 suspected militant have reportedly been killed in such strikes since the start of the year. Endi
