Vietnam, Thailand vow to strengthen defense ties

A delegation led by Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan is visiting Vietnam from Tuesday to Thursday to boost defense ties.

During the talks in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Wednesday between Prawit Wongsuwan and Vietnamese Minister of Defense Phung Quang Thanh, the two sides reviewed bilateral defense cooperation and discussed measures to further strengthen defense ties.

Thanh said the visit of the Thai delegation will contribute to promoting the friendship relations as well as mutual trust between the two peoples and the two armies.

Prawit Wongsuwan expressed his belief that the bilateral ties with Vietnam will be further developed in areas including defense. Endi
