Senegal president urges more diversified cooperation with Algeria

Visiting Senegalese President Macky Sall on Monday invited Algerian operators to grab potential investment projects in his country.

Speaking at an Algerian-Senegalese meeting held in Algiers as part of his visit to Algeria, Sall stressed that the two nations should take advantage of the solid platform of the pan-African ideal to built stronger and more diversified cooperation.

Sall evoked potential investment opportunities in his country as part of the development program of 2014-2018, as he invited Algerian business leaders to come and invest in the sectors of housing, construction, transport, education and health in Senegal.

He stressed his desire to give new impetus to the cooperation between Algeria and Senegal which has been so far limited to formal political relations.

"It must extend further into economic partnership, private and public investments, as well as trade exchange," he said.

Senegalese President on Monday started a four-day visit to Algeria at the invitation of his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika to promote bilateral partnership and discuss the situation in the African Sahel. Endit
