Bulgarian military intelligence service opens virtual museum

Bulgarian Defense Information Service (DIS), the country's military intelligence service, opened on Monday its first virtual museum, officials said.

The museum, which was opened on the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the establishment of DIS, is posted on the official website of the service, the Bulgarian Defense Ministry said in a press release.

For now, the virtual museum of one of the most secret institutions in the Balkan country, displays 40 pictures of documents, concealment devices and former military intelligence officers.

According to the website, DIS provides the state and military leaders with politico-military, military, military-economic, military-technical and military-scientific information products in support of national security and defense.

DIS also exchanges intelligence, develops operational cooperation and conducts joint operations with partner services of NATO and EU member states and with the intelligence bodies of the two alliances, the website says. Endit
