Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Monday began the procedure to appoint Chairman of Council of Ministers of BiH, the first step to form the state government.
The presidency notified Denis Zvizdic to deliver the necessary personal information for the purpose of verification of candidate for the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
According to unwritten rules in BiH, Chairman of Council of Ministers, or prime minister, will be Bosniak delegated from the Bosniak party, since the two past Councils Chairman had been from Serb and Croat.
Denis Zvizdic is a candidate from the largest Bosniak party, center-right Party of Democratic Action (SDA), which won most seats in Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in the general election on Oct. 12.
Born in 1964, Zvizdic is one of the close allies of Bosniak member of Presidency of BiH and Deputy of President of SDA, Bakir Izetbegovic. During his career, Zvizdic had been the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Government and Chairman of Parliamentary Assembly of Parliament of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH). He is currently President of SDA board in Canton Sarajevo. Enditem
