Chinese skaters start well in Asian single distances

China had a good start on Saturday in the Asian Single Distances Speed Skating Competition, which attracted 61 skaters from China, Japan, South Korea, Mongolia and Chinese Taipei.

Zhao Xin led Chinese to a 1-2-3 finish in the women's 3,000 meters while compatriot Sun Longjiang beat Japan's Takuro Ogawa in the men's 5,000m.

Earlier, Chinese Li Bailin and Zhang Hong won the men's and women's 1,000m respectively.

In the Junior World Cup which shared the venue with the single distances action, Chinese Liu An and Shi Xiaoxuan won the men's and women's 1,000 meters while South Korea's Park Ji-Woo and Park Ki-Woong triumphed in the men's and women's 3,000m. Endi
