Malaysian police: French attackers never visit Malaysia

Xinhua, January 10, 2015 Adjust font size:

Malaysian Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar on Saturday refuted reports that the couple involved in Friday's terror attacks in France had ever visited Malaysia.

Khalid said on his twitter account that according to the result of the checks by Royal Malaysia Police, the couple - Amedy Coulibaly and Hayat Boumeddiene - never entered Malaysia.

Some foreign media reports said that Coulibaly and Boumeddiene had once traveled to Malaysia for holiday without giving specific dates of their trip.

Coulibaly was shot dead after he had taken several hostages in a Jewish supermarket in Paris on Friday, while Boumeddiene was believed to have managed to escape. Endi
