Latvian-made AirDog wins prize for best robot at CES tech show in Vegas

Unmanned drone AirDog made by Latvian company Helico Aerospace Industries won the award for Best Robot at the world's leading technology and innovation show CES 2015 in Las Vegas in the United States, the company said.

The AirDog drone is an aerial cameraman supporting Sony and GoPro cameras. It folds down to a backpack-friendly size and comes with custom modes for different sports.

Helico Aerospace Industries, based in the Latvian capital city Riga, works as a team of engineers, aviation and software experts.

CES 2015 is the world's leading technology and innovation fair. This year the fair gathered nearly 4,000 participants, 140,000 visitors and nearly 7,000 journalists. Endite
