According to statistics by China Customs, from January to September 2011, China-Togo trade reached US$1.398 billion, up by 46% year-on-year. Of which China’s export to Togo was US$1.342 billion, up by 48.9% year-on-year; and China’s import from Togo was US$57 million, down by 0.2% year-on-year.
The value of newly-signed contracts of China non-financial direct investment in Togo was US$1.35 million; the value of newly-signed project contracts in Togo is US$185.40 million, with a turnover of US$44.84 million. By the end of September, China’s business personnel in Togo are 511.
