U.S.Foreign Trade Statistics (08/2010)
 
According to the statistics by U.S. Department of Commerce, from January to August, 2010, import and export of US is $2,062.53 billion, up by 24.8% year on year (same as below). Among it, export is $822.18 billion, up by 22.6%; and import is $1,240.35 billion, up by 26.3%. Trade deficit is $418.17 billion, up by 34.2%.

In August, import and export is $277.60 billion, up by 27.0%. Among it, export is $106.90 billion, up by 22.4%; and import is $170.71 billion, up by 30.0%. Trade deficit is $63.81 billion, up by 45.2%.

From January to August period, US-China bilateral trade in goods is $285.01 billion, up by 26.1%. Among it, America’s export to China is $55.80 billion, up by 35.6%, accounting for 6.8% of America’s total export, up by 0.7 percentage point; and America’s import from China is $229.21 billion, up by 24.0%, accounting for 18.5% America’s total import, down by 0.4 percentage point. America’s trade deficit is $173.40 billion, up by 20.6%.

By August, China is America’s second largest trade partner, the third largest export destination and the largest import source country.
