Foreign Trade Statistics of Peru (08/2010)
According to Customs of Peru, from January to August, 2010, import and export of Peru reached $40.41 billion, up by 36.0% year on year (same as below). Among it, export was $21.61 billion, up by 35.3%; and import was $18.80 billion, up by 36.8%. Trade surplus is $2.81 billion, up by 26.5%.
In August, import and export is $5.59 billion, up by 36.5%. Among it, export is $2.90 billion, up by 25.8%; and import is $2.7 billion, up by 50.2%. Trade surplus is $0.22 billion, down by 60.3%.
During the January to August period, Peru-China bilateral trade in goods is $6.65 billion, up by 50.0%. Among it, Peru’s export to China is $3.48 billion, up by 42.3%, accounting for 16.1% of Peru’s total export, up by 0.8 percentage point; Peru’s import from China is $3.17 billion, up by 59.5%, accounting for 16.9% of Peru’s total import, up by 2.4 percentage points.
During the January to August period, the Peru’ China trade balance is $0.31 billion in Peru’s favor, down by 32.5%.
By August, China is Peru’s second largest trade partner, the second largest export destination and the second largest import source.
