Foreign Trade Statistics of Columbia (08/2010)
 
According to statistics by Statistics Bureau of Columbia, during the January to August period, goods trade of Columbia is $50.41 billion, up by 20.7% year on year (same as below). Among it, export is $25.34 billion, up by 22.1%; and import is $25.08 billion, up by 19.2%. The trade deficit is $0.26 billion, while it is a surplus of $0.28 billion in the same period last year.

In August, goods trade of Columbia is $6.76 billion, up by 31.5%. Among it, export is $3.21 billion, up by 21.5%; and import is $3.55 billion, up by 42.1%. Trade deficit is $0.34 billion, while it is a surplus of $0.14 billion in the same period last year

From January to August, Columbia-China bilateral goods trade is $4.76 billion, up by 73.2%. Among it, Columbia’s export to China is $1.57 billion, up by 227.1%, accounting for 6.2% of Columbia’s total export up by 3.9 percentage points; and Columbia’s import from China is $3.19 billion, up by 40.6%, accounting for 12.7% Columbia’s total import , down by 1.9 percentage points. Trade deficit is $1.62 billion, down by 9.5%.

By August, China is Columbia’s second largest export destination and the second largest import source country.
