Statistics of Australia’s Foreign Trade from January to May of 2011
According to the statistics by Australian Bureau of Statistics, in May of 2011, Australia’s total trade in goods and services was 50.184 billion AUD. Among that, export was 26.258 billion AUD, up by 3% compared with that of previous month, and up by 5.74% year on year. Import was 23.926 billion AUD, up by 4.7% year on year. Trade surplus was 2.332 billion AUD, ranking the 5th place of monthly trade surplus records.

In May, Australia’s export of goods was 22.091 billion AUD, up by 8.12% year on year, and import was 18.785 billion AUD, up by 2.49% year on year, with trade surplus of 3.306 billion AUD. Export of services was 4.167 billion AUD, down by 5.32% year on year, and import was 5.14 billion AUD, up by 13.62% year on year, with trade deficit of 0.973 billion AUD.

From January to May, Australia’s total trade in goods and services was 239.561 billion AUD, up by 9.12% year on year. Among that, export was 123.257 billion AUD, up by 12% year on year. Import was 116.304 billion AUD, up by 6.24% year on year. Trade surplus was 6.953 billion AUD.

From January to May, Australia’s export of goods was 102.308 billion AUD, up by 16% year on year, and import was 91.678 billion AUD, up by 5.43% year on year, with trade surplus of 10.63 billion AUD. Export of services was 20.95 billion AUD, down by 4.3% year on year, and import was 24.623 billion AUD, up by 9.34% year on year, with trade deficit of 3.673 billion AUD.
