I. Mainland-Macao Trade
Mainland-Macao trade in January 2013 totaled US$ 190 billion, with a year-on-year increase of 0.7%, accounting for 0.07% of Mainland’s total trade. Of which Mainland export to Macao was US$ 180 million, up by 6.9% year-on-year; and its import from Macao was US$ 8 million, down by 56.0% year-on-year.
II. Investment from Macao
In January 2013, 23 Macao-invested projects were approved by the Mainland, up by 43.8% year-on-year, and the actual utilization of Macao capital rose by 261.1% year-on-year to US$ 50 million. By the end of January 2013, 13,165 Macao-invested projects were approved by the Mainland, and utilized Macao capital was US$ 10.94 billion, accounting for 0.9% of Mainland’s total absorption of foreign investment.
III. Mainland-Macao Economic Cooperation
In January 2013, the number of contracts won by Mainland in Macao were 2, with the contract value of US$ 300 million, and the turnover amounted to US$ 8 million. By the end of January, the number of labor dispatched to Macao was 69, 095, and the accumulated turnover by Mainland in Macao reached US$ 9.378 billion.
