Brief Statistics on China Non-financial Direct Investment Overseas in January–August 2013

In January–August 2013, Chinese investors made direct investment overseas in 3,583 enterprises in 156 countries and regions. Direct investment overseas amounted to US$ 56.5 billion, up by 18.5% year-on-year. Of which equity investments and other investments were US$ 44.9 billion, accounting for 79.5%, and earnings reinvested were US$ 11.6 billion, accounting for 20.5%. As of the end of August, China's non-financial direct investment overseas totaled US$ 492.0 billion.
