I. Mainland-Macao Trade
Mainland-Macao trade in January 2014 amounted to USD290 million, dropping by 12.1% on a year-on-year basis. Among others, USD260 million was Mainland's export to Macao, and USD30 million was Mainland's import from Macao, dropping by 9.3% and 34.2% on a year-on-year basis respectively.
II. Investment from Macao
In January 2014, 18 Macao-invested projects were approved by the Mainland, decreasing by 21.7% on a year-on-year basis. The actual use of Macao investment was USD 60 million, up by 31.2% on a year-on-year basis.
As at the end of January 2014, Macao-invested projects approved by the Mainland reached 13,470 with an actual use of Macao investment of USD11.41 billion. In terms of the utilized investment, Macao investment accounted for 0.8% of the accumulated attraction of foreign investment by the Mainland.
III. Mainland-Macao Economic Cooperation
In January 2014, the number of contracts of Mainland's contracted projects in Macao was 1 with a value of USD 1.38 billion. The turnover amounted to USD40 million. As at the end of January 2014, the number of labor dispatched to Macao was 90,110, and the accumulated turnover reached USD9.83 billion.
