Surplus of Australia’s Goods Trade with China Surpassed 3 billion AUD in Oct. 2011 for the Third Consecutive Month

According to the statistics by Australian Bureau of Statistics, in October of 2011, Australia’s total trade in goods and services with China was 11.494 billion AUD (US$12.079 billion), up by 28.3% year on year. Among that, its export to China was 7.251 billion AUD (US$7.62 billion), up by 36.12% year on year, accounting for 31% of the total goods export. Import from China was 4.243 billion AUD (US$4.459 billion), up by 16.82% year on year, accounting for 20.38% of the total goods import. Trade surplus was 3.008 billion AUD (US$3.161 billion).
From January to October, Australia’s total trade in goods was 93.323 billion AUD (US$97.729 billion), up by 18.89% year on year. Among that, export to China was 59.114 billion AUD (US$61.924 billion), up by 26.39% year on year, accounting for 27.18% of the total goods export. Import from China was 34.209 billion AUD (US$35.805 billion), up by 7.84% year on year, accounting for 17.68% of the total goods import. Trade surplus was 24.905 billion AUD (US$26.120 billion).
