Statistics by Australia on Trade with China in Jan.-Feb. of 2012

According to Australian Bureau of Statistics, in February, Australia’s goods trade with China totaled A$8.537 billion (US$9.234 billion), up 15.08% year on year. Among that, exports to China were A$5.72 billion (US$6.187 billion), up 34.62%, accounting for 28% of the total goods exports; and imports from China were A$2.817 billion (US$3.047 billion), down 11.11%, accounting for 14.2% of the total goods imports. Trade surplus was of A$2.903 billion (US$3.14 billion).
From January to February, Australia’s goods trade with China totaled A$17.386 billion (US$18.646 billion), up 12.9% year on year. Among that, exports to China were A$10.732 billion (US$11.518 billion), up 19%, accounting for 26% of the total goods exports; and imports from China were A$6.654 billion (US$7.128 billion), up 4.2%, accounting for 16.4% of the total goods imports. Trade surplus was of A$4.078 billion (US$4.39 billion).
