Senegal confirms first case of Ebola: health minister

The first case of Ebola was confirmed on Friday by health authorities of Senegal as the epidemic has claimed over 1,500 lives in African countries since earlier this year.

Awa Marie Coll Seck, the country's health minister, told a news briefing that a Guinean national was confirmed to have the virus.
