Time: 2006 FIFA World Cup, Germany
In the 2002 World Cup, Ballack sent the Germany team to the finals with his shooting. However, he missed the finals because he received two yellow cards during the most important competition. In 2006, when Germany was the host country, the team was led by young coach Jürgen Klinsmann. But the goals of Fabio Grosso and Alessandro del Piero of Italy ended his dream. After the competition, Klinsmann comforted the crying players; however, he couldn't comfort Ballack, once again a missed champion.
