High temperatures hit N. China

High temperatures will hit northern China and regions along the Yangtze and Huaihe rivers in the next three days, the country's meteorological authority said on Tuesday.

These areas will see temperatures of up to 37 degrees Celsius, the National Meteorological Center said in a statement.

Meanwhile, a cold front will bring strong winds to central and eastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and northern and northeastern China on Tuesday.

Rain will hit northeastern China, southern China and the Tibet Autonomous Region on Tuesday.

Eleven provinces, cities and regions reported temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius on Monday, including Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province. Some places saw temperatures up to 37 degrees Celsius on Monday, including northern Hebei Province, Turpan in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and southern Sichuan Province.
