Kenya is hosting the largest delegation of Chinese tourists, marking a major success for the country in tapping emerging markets for tourism especially in Asia and the Far East.

The 110 tourists who are being hosted by the Kenya Tourism Board will tour leading sites in the country from April 12-16, including Hells Gate National Park, Masai Mara and the Aberdares.

KTB Managing Director Muriithi Ndegwa welcomed the visitors saying it was a major achievement for Kenya's tourism industry.

China is the second largest tourist source for Kenya in Asia, after India, with more than 40,000 Chinese tourists visiting Kenya in 2013. Kenyan tourism marketers said they expects this to grow to surpass 100,000 by 2016.
