"China is leading the world in robotics and robots will in fact soon be used to make robots here," said John Naisbitt, author of the international best-seller "Megatrends," at the second World Emerging Industries Summit on Nov.22, 2013, in Wuhan City of central China's Hubei Province.
The summit was co-organized by the Wuhan municipal government and the Asia-Pacific CEO Association Worldwide (APCEO), themed "Innovation leads development, cooperation creates future."
John Naisbitt and his wife Doris both attended and the author made a keynote speech on the general trends of the world economy. "Much more intelligent products will be made in the near future to manufacture robots," Naisbitt predicted.
"We should think with a global vision and get familiar with the characteristics of the emerging economies and emerging industries as well, including robotics, biological industry, biotechnology, nanotechnology, information technology, renewable energy, electric vehicles, tourism and 3D printing," he added.
Speaking of China's position in the world development trend, Naisbitt said, "China will become an innovation-oriented country and one of the major emerging industries of the world. China will play an increasingly important role in global affairs."
He spoke highly of the China Dream and believed that this Dream will not be shaped by the world. "It will be shaped by the Chinese people themselves," he concluded.
