A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has called for putting into action the reform blueprint set at a key meeting of the CPC.

Liu Yunshan, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during his Nov.15-17 tour to the cities of Yantai, Weihai and Jinan in east China's Shandong Province.

Liu visited enterprises, communities, villages and cultural units to learn about grassroots situation and listen to people's opinions.

The Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee held from Nov. 9 to 12 has offered great opportunities for enterprises, according to Liu, adding that policies set at the meeting will help create a favorable environment and broaden development space for enterprises.

Liu said that promoting reform will improve the people's livelihood and make sure the fruits of reform are shared by all the people.

He held symposiums with grassroots cadres and officials from the provinces of Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui and Henan, listening to opinions on the promotion of "mass-line" campaign, which was launched in June by the CPC to boost ties between CPC officials and the masses.

The campaign was described by Chinese president and CPC chief Xi Jinping as a "thorough cleanup" of undesirable work styles such as formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance among officials.

Liu asked local officials to take the lead in correcting such undesirable work styles that have been found in the first stage of the campaign, and those who refused to improve work styles will be held accountable.
