Egypt Reports 41st A/H1N1 Case

Egypt reported on Tuesday another case of influenza A/H1N1, bringing the total number of the flu in the populous country to 41, according to the Ministry of Health.
The new case is a 34-year-old British man who came to Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday from Britain, Health Ministry spokesman Abdel Rahman Shahine said in a statement.
Shahine said that the man was hospitalized in Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital and his condition is stable, adding that 30cases in Egypt have recovered up till now and there are 11 cases in hospitals.
On June 2, Egypt reported its first A/H1N1 flu case, which was a 12-year-old Egyptian-American girl coming from the United States via the Netherlands.
Egypt decided in late April to cull all pigs in the country to stem the highly infectious flu.
According to World Health Organization, the number of reported cases of A/H1N1 influenza has reached 52,160 on Monday across the world, including 231 deaths.
