Canada's Confirmed A/H1N1 Flu Cases Rise to 2,446

Canada confirmed 331 new cases of A/H1N1 flu since Friday, bringing the total of confirmed cases in the country to 2,446, according to the latest figures released by the Public Health Agency of Canada on Monday.
Quebec reported one death related to the new virus. Four deaths have been reported in the country.
A woman from the Quebec City area died Friday, three days after she showed symptoms. She was at least 65 years old, but her exact age is not known, provincial officials said.
Two men from Toronto and one woman from northern Alberta have died of the virus.
Most Canadian cases have been mild. To date 121 hospitalizations have been reported among laboratory-confirmed cases, the PHAC said.
The provinces with most cases are Ontario (1,223), Quebec (547) and Saskatchewan (210).
Nine provinces and three territories have reported cases, with the exception of Newfound province.
