The Ho Chi Minh City Health Department of Vietnam on Thursday said that a six-year-old Vietnamese girl recently returning home from the United States has been confirmed to be infected with the A/H1N1 influenza virus, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The girl was from the country's southern Dongnai province. She was admitted to the HCM City Nhi Dong 2 Hospital on June 4.
Vietnam has so far confirmed four cases of the A/H1N1 flu. All of the four patients have recently returned home from the United States.
After treatment, the first three cases are now tested negative to the virus and may be discharged from the hospital next week, said the agency.
