No Human-to-human Transmission of A/H1N1 Virus in Vietnam So Far

Vietnamese health officials confirmed that no human-to-human transmission of A/H1N1 virus has been detected in the country so far, local newspaper Viet Nam News reported on Wednesday.
Vietnamese health officials have run tests on three family members of the two most recent A/H1N1 cases and they were found negative for the virus, said Director of Ho Chi Minh City Health Department Nguyen Van Chau.
The three relatives of a mother and child cases would possibly be released on Wednesday after being quarantined for seven days under the Ministry of Health's regulations, said Chau.
Previously, HCM Hospital of Tropical Diseases took samples of five people who have had frequent contact with the first A/H1N1 case for examination, but all found negative with the virus.
Meanwhile, the three confirmed A/H1N1 cases are still being treated at isolated wards in the Hospital of Tropical Diseases and Hospital of Children No.1 in HCM City and are reported to be in stable condition and no longer feverish, according to the newspaper.
