The Costa Rican Health Ministry reported on Wednesday two new possible cases of influenza A/H1N1, raising the total to 846 in the country.
The cases are two minors who were in contact with a chorus of youngsters from the northeastern US city of Boston, who were on a tour in the country.
The cases will be analyzed by the Costa Rican Institute of Nutrition and Health Investigation and Teaching and the results will be out by Monday, Costa Rican Health Minister Maria Luisa Avila told Xinhua.
Avila said that up to now there have been 846 suspicious cases of H1N1 flu in the Central American country, of them 736 ruled out by lab tests.
Eight cases of H1N1 flu, commonly known as swine flu, have so far been confirmed in Costa Rica and one of them died.
