How Are Voters Registered?

Adjust font size:

Voter registration is conducted on the basis of electoral wards. Once registered, a voter will remain qualified to vote for a set period.

Voters will register before each election, if they have reached the age of 18 or have had their political rights restored after a period of deprivation has expired.

Voters who have moved to a new electoral ward may re-register in that constituency.

Those dead or deprived of political rights shall be removed from the electoral roll.

Citizens, who suffer from mental illness and are incapable of exercising their electoral rights, as determined by an electoral committee, shall not be included in the roll of voters.
