After three years of reconstruction, Wolong Nature Reserve and China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Wolong, which were badly damaged by the quake, has recovered. Local residents were moved to valley region for better living conditions while giant pandas enjoy more territory, new building for the center are under construction and will be put into use the next year, and a series of research programs such as training of giant pandas for release to the wild are carrying on.
