Qingchuan Earthquake Museum to Open on May 7

Workers work busily in the Qingchuan Earthquake Museum in Qingchuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, April 19, 2011. The Qingchuan Earthquake Museum will open on May 7, 2011, 5 days ahead of the 3rd anniversary of "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake. The museum, covering an area of 5,500 square meters, has a main building of 2 storeys and an auxiliary buiding of 3 storeys, with 10 exhibition halls. The museum is set up to commemorate the victims of the devastating Wenchuan earthquake in 2008 which left more than 80,000 people dead or missing. [Xinhua]
