Chicago agricultural commodities lower in morning trade

CHICAGO, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities traded lower on Tuesday morning, with wheat futures falling as the condition of the U.S. winter crop improved week to week.
July corn was unchanged at 4.005 U.S. dollars per bushel as of 1130 GMT, July wheat was 3 cents lower at 5.075 dollars, July soybean was down 4.0 cents at 10.446 dollars.
National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) reported that the U.S. winter wheat crop improved 2 percent in the good/excellent category with 38 percent of the U.S. crop rated poor/very poor.
NASS report also shows just 17 percent of the U.S. corn crop is planted, 10 percentage behind the 10-year average with 10 percent of spring wheat crop in the ground compared to an average of 36 percent. Enditem
