Kyrgyzstan's new government sworn in

BISHKEK, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's new government, led by Prime Minister Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziyev, took the oath of office on Wednesday.

Kyrgyzstan's parliament named Abylgaziyev, 50, the country's 30th prime minister last Friday. Previously, he served as the chief of the president's office.

The parliament also approved the composition and structure of the new government.

Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, who attended the oath ceremony held in the parliament, congratulated Abylgaziyev and the government's members and urged them never to violate their oath by stressing their great responsibility to the state and the people, the president's press service reported.

The previous government, headed by 40-year-old Sapar Isakov, was dismissed last week after the parliament passed a no-confidence vote, the first in Kyrgyzstan's history. Enditem
