Xinhua,April 23, 2018 Adjust font size:

BEIJING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Xinhua News Agency and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on Monday signed a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Beijing to further their cooperation.

Editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency He Ping and UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore signed the MOU.

During their meeting, He said since signing the original MOU in 2009, Xinhua and UNICEF have cooperated on many occasions, such as jointly organizing reports on children's rights across the globe, which have received a positive response in China and the world.

Xinhua is willing to strengthen cooperation with UNICEF to produce more reports on children, so as to bring more attention and care to children's rights around the world, said He.

The editor-in-chief hopes that the two sides will take the signing of the new MOU as an opportunity to make a greater contribution to the well-being of children in China and the world.

Fore spoke highly of the cooperation between UNICEF and Xinhua over the past 20 years.

Calling Xinhua a media organization with global influence, she said she hopes to further enhance cooperation with Xinhua, so as to jointly promote the protection of children's rights. Enditem
