HOUSTON -- U.S. Border Patrol agents on Monday announced the beginning of a section of barrier construction on the southern border with Mexico.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he expected to meet Kim Jong Un, the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), in May or early June.

HERAT, Afghanistan -- At least 15 armed militants and two soldiers were killed after clashes erupted between Afghan security forces and militants in Herat province, west of Afghanistan, a local official said Tuesday.
"The clashes occurred after Taliban militants stormed security checkpoints with guns and rockets in remote Chishti Sharif district late Monday, leaving 15 militants dead and eight others injured," Jilani Farhad, spokesman for provincial government, told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Gunfight-Militants)

NEW DELHI -- At least 18 people were killed and 15 others injured Tuesday after a goods truck carrying laborers hit a road divider in western Indian state of Maharashtra, police said.
