6 killed in traffic accident in central Turkey

ANKARA, March 26 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were killed and two others injured in a traffic accident on early Monday in Turkey's central Kayseri province.

The accident occurred on the Kayseri-Malatya highway, when the car allegedly used the opposite lane to cross the road, crashing with the ambulance, Daily Sabah reported.

All six fatalities were from the same family, including two children aged six and eight.

The driver of the ambulance and one passenger were injured and taken to nearby hospital for treatment. Enditem
