Dollar falls to 104 yen on growing trade war concerns

TOKYO, March 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell to the upper 104 yen zone Friday in Tokyo, the lowest level in 16 months, on growing concerns over a trade war.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 105.01-03 yen compared with 105.23-33 yen in New York and 105.68-70 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. It moved between 104.64 yen and 105.31 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2321-2322 dollars and 129.39-43 yen against 1.2295-2305 dollars and 129.45-55 yen in New York and 1.2373-2375 dollars and 130.76-80 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Enditem
