WASHINGTON, March 22 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Donald Trump will direct U.S. trade office to consider increased tariffs and investment restrictions against China, White House officials said on Thursday.

The move comes amid strong opposition from both China and U.S. business circles and is considered as abusing outdated laws to seek trade protectionism. Enditem
