Xinhua,March 23, 2018 Adjust font size:

CHICAGO, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities traded higher on Thursday morning, with soybean futures rising 1.75 cents, as the weather model shows a drier forecast for major exporter Argentina.

Data shows about two thirds of the Argentina's soybean and corn belts are under stress, and while some forecasts had called for rainfall, the amounts predicted are diminishing, according to Commodity Weather Group.

May corn was two cents higher at 3.77 U.S. dollars per bushel as of 1500 GMT, May wheat was 5.25 cents higher at 4.5875 dollars, and May soybean was up 1.75 cents at 10.315 dollars.

As for international market, Saudi Arabia is tendering for another one million tons of world barley, which will be rather difficult to find and will only push barley prices higher. Enditem
