Wang Dongming elected China's trade union chief

BEIJING, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Wang Dongming was elected chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) at a plenary session of the ACFTU 16th Executive Committee, which opened on Thursday.

Wang, who was also recently elected vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress, will replace Li Jianguo.

Chen Xi, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee addressed the election at the plenum, and commended Li's work over the past five years. Enditem
