LUSAKA, March 22 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Thursday.

--Zambian President Edgar Lungu has urged the private sector to invest in the pharmaceutical industry because there was a huge market for medical products in the country.

The Zambian leader said when commissioned a plant for production of pharmaceutical products by Kingphar Pharmaceutical Zambia Limited, established by a Chinese firm, that despite the presence of some companies manufacturing drugs, Zambia was still importing pharmaceutical products. --About 60 international have confirmed participation in the Zambia Travel Expo which will take place next month.

Felix Chaila, chief executive officer of the Zambia Tourism Agency said the agency has since closed the application process for buyers even though more buyers were willing to come for the vent scheduled from April 12 to 14. (Daily Nation)
