Nigerian troops nab 4 Boko Haram insurgents

LAGOS, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Nigerian troops operating in restive northeast Adamawa on Wednesday said it had arrested an alleged high profile Boko Haram insurgent, Bubayi Isa, alongside three other suspects.

Brig.-Gen. Texas Chukwu, the Army spokesperson said in a statement reaching Xinhua, that Isa was number 37 on the list of Boko Haram insurgents published by the army.

According to him, Isa was arrested on March 20, following an intelligence report, adding that the suspect hailed from Panama village in Biu area of northeast Borno.

The army spokesman said preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects participated in operations, coordinated by the Boko Haram insurgents at various times. Enditem
